This policy explains how Rank My Business Today (“RMBT”, “we”) handles data in RMBT Claude Assistant (the “App”), an internal tool that connects our own QuickBooks Online company to an AI assistant. The App is used only by RMBT to manage RMBT’s own bookkeeping. It isn’t offered or sold to anyone else.
What the App accesses
With our authorization through Intuit’s secure sign-in (OAuth 2.0), the App can access data in RMBT’s QuickBooks Online company. That includes company information, customers, vendors, invoices, bills, expenses, payments, accounts, sales tax settings and financial reports. The App requests the QuickBooks Accounting permission only.
How the data is used
The data is used only to help RMBT manage its own books: recording expenses and bills, creating and reviewing invoices, and running financial reports. Every change to our QuickBooks records is reviewed and approved by an RMBT owner before it’s made. The App can’t delete records.
Where the data goes
– The App runs on a computer controlled by RMBT. QuickBooks sign-in credentials (access and refresh tokens) are stored only on that computer and are never shared.
– To answer a request, the relevant QuickBooks data is sent to Anthropic’s Claude AI service, which processes it on RMBT’s behalf.
– We don’t sell, rent or share QuickBooks data with anyone else, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Customer data
Our QuickBooks company contains basic contact and billing details for RMBT’s own clients and suppliers (names, business names, email addresses, addresses and transaction amounts). We use this information only to invoice, pay and keep records, as any business does with its accounting system.
Retention and disconnecting
The App doesn’t keep its own copy of QuickBooks data beyond what’s needed to complete a request. RMBT can disconnect the App at any time from QuickBooks Online (Apps > Manage integrations). That immediately revokes its access.
Security
Access uses Intuit’s OAuth 2.0 authorization. Tokens are stored locally and are never included in reports or messages. Delete actions are turned off.
